This mother tiger gave birth to premature cubs, and sadly they all passed away. The vet thought she’d go under depression with the loss of her cubs and tried to find her different abandned cubs around the same age but was unsuccessul. Fortunately, there was a solution! :) they found 5 baby piglets the same age as her cubs would’ve been. And now she treats them just as her own and believes they’re her babies. Precioussss.
Sorry the species is a little late! You know.. its friday :D TGIF Love you all!!
Species: Golden Tabby Tiger
These tigers are extremely rare. And unusually, this weird gene variation is only found in captive tigers at the moment. Like the white tiger, it is not its own species. It’s just a color variation. But an extremely cool color variation to me! There is fewer than 30 of these rare tigers in the world, but many more carriers of the gene. (Actually, there’s fewer than thirty Amur Leopards in the wild right now too. They’re one of my favorites! But that’s a different day.) This tiger is sometimes referred to as the strawberry tiger. They believe the color variation is a cross between Amur Tigers and Bengal Tigers. Right now, tigers are in great trouble. All of them are seriously endangered. There are many ways you can help save the tigers. Few zoos know about these animals, and very few actually breed them or exhibit them. There’s not much knowledge on these animals yet. And if you know more, please inbox me!! :)
And here’s just an interesting little fact, ligers are a cross between a male lion and a tigress. BUT DID YOU KNOW… a cross between a male tiger and a lioness is called a Tiglon?! WOAHH. hahah :)
