HEY GUYS. MISS ME?? Truthfully..I really have not had ANY time to myself or to you guys to do this! I’m soooo truly sorry, forgive meh? :3
Species: Thomson Gazelle
Well, I have always thought these gazelle were absolutely adorable. I mean, you’d have to be blind not to like them! They are medium-sized antelope that are native to East-Africa. They are probably the most well-known gazelle species, and have a nickname as a “tommie”. (What I always call them!:)) These gazelles are nimble, beautiful creatures with varieties of colors of browns, reds, blacks, and tans. And can have many different markings of stripes. And they also have beautiful horns that curve, and make them big in the gaming of poachers and hunters. They normally prefer higher grasslands and the savannas (particularly the Serengeti). Their appetite changes throughout the wet and dry seasons, during the wet season they normally eat lush green grasses, and during the dry they eat mainly shrubbery, bushes, and clovers. The grasslands that they normally graze on make them visible to predators such as cheetahs, but they are very swift-footed. And once the female and male have completed their “process” the female will leave the herd to give birth to a single fawn. When the mother gives birth, she then licks her baby clean which helps the start of the blood circulation of the fawn. And the female can give birth to two fawns a year, unlike many ungulates that only give birth once a year. They’re precious aren’t they?!? :)
